Common Questions, Expert Answers

Answers to frequently asked questions and queries related to Devon Conversions motorhomes and campervans.
What base vehicle do we use for our conversions?

The Devon Aztec is built on the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, or Citroën Relay platform. These vans share the same proven SEVEL chassis family, giving you excellent reliability, strong payloads, and multiple wheelbase options.

Available wheelbases:

  • MWB – Fiat Ducato
  • LWB – Ducato / Boxer / Relay
  • XLWB – Fiat Ducato XL
Can you convert a van I already own?

Absolutely. As long as your van is one of the Stellantis group vehicles — Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer or Citroën Relay — we can convert it to our full Devon specification.

We may need to inspect your vehicle first, just to make sure it’s in good enough condition to represent the Devon Conversions brand and to ensure a high‑quality finished build.

How long does a conversion take?

A full Devon conversion typically takes 8–10 weeks from the first cut of timber to the Pre-Deliver Inspection. This allows time for parts ordering, build scheduling, and the full installation process to our high standards.

Lead times can vary slightly depending on specification choices and workshop workload, but we’ll always give you an accurate start date and keep you updated throughout the build.

Factory‑ordered base vehicles typically take 16–20 weeks to arrive with us. However, because of the way we schedule and assemble our builds, we’re able to start preparing your conversion before the van is delivered, which helps keep your overall turnaround time as short as possible.

How many people can travel in the Devon Aztec?

The Devon Aztec is a 2‑berth, 2‑seat campervan, so it is approved for two travelling passengers only. There are no rear travel seats, meaning both occupants must be seated in the front while the vehicle is in motion.

What warranty do Devon campervans have?

All our campervans come with a 2‑year comprehensive warranty backed by MB&G Insurance, giving you piece of mind from day one. You can also extend this warranty at the end of this term should you wish.

All new base vehicles include the manufacturer’s 3‑year warranty, running alongside your Devon conversion cover.

Do you take part exchanges?

Yes — we do. We work closely with Tim and the team at Motorhome Valuation Services to make moving into your new Devon campervan as smooth as possible. While we don’t take your existing campervan directly, we handle the process alongside them to ensure the transition is completely seamless.
